Things to See in Boise Idaho


Boise is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Idaho and was the fastest growing city in the US from 2017 to 2018. The city saw an increase in population from 2010 to 2018. Boise City was named as the best place to live for millennials and the best US city to buy a house. The city offers many breweries, cafes, museums, and cultural centers. This is not only a nice place to settle or live but if you’re looking to spend some days for a visit, then give it a try, Boise won’t disappoint you. Some nice places to visit or things to do in Boise are:

1- Boise River Greenbelt:

The Boise River Greenbelt is a recreational and alternate transportation trail stretching 25 miles along the banks of the Boise River. This is the best place to have some exercise. Visitors come here and jog, run, walk, ride bikes or just relax and enjoy this beautiful place. You can also see wildlife here. There are also many parks along the Boise greenbelt including Julia Davis Park, Ann Morrison Park, and Kathryn Albertson Park. These parks also offer some recreational facilities.

2- Camel’s Back Park:

This park is perfect if you are looking to have a picnic and play area. Camel’s back park also has bike trails, an outdoor gym, and tennis and volleyball facilities and courts. This is such a fun place to go and have some activity. You can also hike and see the amazing views on the top. It is suitable for all ages.

3- Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area:

The Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation area is famous for ski and snowboard slopes in winter and hiking trails in the summer. It’s the best place to ski, snowboard, go hiking, and rock climbing. In the summers you can enjoy and do Mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding, and enjoy the scenery. The bogus basin also provides ski and snowboarding lessons, if you don’t know how to do it, the lessons are such fun to learn and have a great experience of your life.

4- The Old Idaho Penitentiary:

The Old Idaho Penitentiary was built in 1872 to receive criminals due to rising criminals and crime rates. You can visit this place and have a tour and learn about how the inmates were jailed?, see the 30 historical structures and the educational exhibits. The Old Idaho Penitentiary is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You can see the old prison areas and jail cells.

5- Idaho State Capitol Building:

Idaho state capitol building is such a historically rich place, a must-visit for the history buffs. It’s a pretty building with charming architecture, giving tons of historical knowledge about Idaho’s politics, laws, and government. There are also informative displays and artwork that you can see. The lawn of the building is beautiful, and the building gives amazing views of the city. This place is worth a visit to Boise.…
